What do we do?

Since 2017, Alma Community Care has been providing free monthly Parenting Seminars in English and Spanish at several local public schools. Our parenting seminars are led by licensed mental health professionals and are focused on topics such as positive parentings skills, childhood anxiety and depression, substance abuse, and healthy eating habits. In light of COVID-19, Alma Community Care has shifted to online parenting seminars, and we look forward to in-person meetings as soon as safely possible.

In the fall of 2020, we launched Esperanza, a new program providing full scholarships for individual and group therapy to a select group of community mothers. The individual and group therapy sessions are led by a bilingual professional therapist and are designed to give each mother personalized help and support to care for herself and her family.

If you are interested in volunteering with us at a Parenting Seminar or are a therapist wanting to get involved with our programs, please contact us at info@almacare.org!
